CONQUEST, CHALLENGE AND HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRIES:  Introducing three new North Stamford Catholic Youth Ministries coming this October:

  • Conquest (for boys) and Challenge (for girls) in the 6th thru 8th grades – meeting from 6:30 to 8:00PM on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month;  Dates in October are 10/9 and 10/23;
  • High School Youth Ministry for high school teens meeting on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from 7:00 to 9:00PM; Dates in October are 10/1 and 10/15;

St. Cecilia is partnering with Holy Spirit and other North Stamford parishes, to create a safe environment of spiritual enrichment, fellowship and fun for our kids.  Led by Fr. Joseph Gill, Spiritual Director at Trinity High and volunteers, the evenings will follow a structured format which includes sports/games, a virtue-/scripture-related presentation for discussion and a related activity, with some project time (e.g., service project) or free time to hang out.  Also, some really fun field trips are being considered for Fall/Winter such as Skyzone, skiing, a rope course, hiking, and more!!!

The search is still on for teens, college students or parents/adults, who would like to join our Youth Ministry Team, and volunteer just 3 hours per month.  There’s room on our team for you!!  Our first meeting brought together 15 willing volunteers but many more are needed!  Just let us know your interest by writing to, and one of the team will get back to you.  Questions are also welcome!  Let’s work to create a great youth ministry, where our children are safe and encouraged to explore their faith and spirituality, while making new friends and having fun!  For more details, write to our email address above, or call Gina Denner at 203-968-6388.
